Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Pii Digital (Pty) Ltd collects, stores, uses, and protects your personal data.
1. Introduction
Welcome to the privacy policy of Pii Digital (hereinafter jointly referred to as “we”, “us” or “our”). We respect your privacy and take the protection of personal data very seriously. This policy describes the way that we collect, store, use, and protect data that can be associated with you or another specific natural or juristic person and can be used to identify you or that person (“personal data”).
This policy applies to you if you are a visitor to our website, or a customer who has ordered the goods or services that we provide.
2. Personal data we collect
Personal data includes information we collect automatically when you visit our website, information collected on registration or submission, and optional information you provide voluntarily. It excludes anonymised or de-identified information, non-personal statistical information, and information you've voluntarily posted in an open public forum.
- Identifying information — name, date of birth, or identification number
- Contact information — phone number or email address
- Address information — physical or postal address
Depending on the goods or services you require, we may also collect sensitive personal data such as bank account details.
3. Acceptance
You must accept all the terms of this policy when you order or use any of our goods, services, or our website. You may not access our website to order goods or services if you are younger than 18 years old or do not have legal capacity to conclude legally binding contracts. By accepting this policy, you are deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by all of its terms.
We may change the terms of this policy at any time by updating this page and notifying you via a prominent notice or email. Continued use of the website or our services after notification of a change means you accept the updated terms.
4. How we collect information
On registration, you may provide your name, email address, telephone number, company name, registration and VAT number, postal or street address, and username/password. When you order goods or services, or become a reseller, you'll be asked for additional voluntary information.
We automatically receive and record internet usage information from your browser via server logs — IP address, browsing habits, device and software details, and the pages and dates/times you access the website.
We may place cookies on your device to tailor functionality, improve performance, and (with consent) deliver targeted advertising. You can disable cookies in your browser, though some site functionality may be affected. Third-party cookies placed by our business partners are governed by that party's own policy, not ours.
We may monitor and record calls you make to us, and will delete the recording at your request.
5. How we use your information
We use and process your personal data for goods and services purposes, marketing purposes (lawful related marketing activities), business purposes (audit, accounting, planning), and legal purposes (claims, regulatory compliance, governance).
We may send administrative messages, service updates, and — where you haven't opted out — promotional messages. While logged in, we may display targeted content based on your data; we do not share personal data with advertisers without your explicit consent.
6. Disclosure
We do not sell personal data. We may share it with other divisions or companies within our group, affiliates bound by this policy, contracted goods/service suppliers (under contract to use data only for the services they provide us), credit bureaus and banking partners as required by law, and other third parties providing relevant services.
We may disclose personal data as required by law, subpoena, or court order, to protect safety, or to prevent violation of our terms. We cannot accept liability for unauthorised disclosure by third parties outside our control.
If we undergo a change in ownership, merger, or sale of assets, we may assign our rights to the personal data we process to a successor. We will disclose any such transfer on the website; you may request deletion of your data if you're concerned about a new owner.
7. Security and retention
We implement and maintain appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, hosted on a secure server environment with a firewall and other security measures. Access is limited to employees who require it to do their jobs, and we implement disaster recovery procedures where appropriate.
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this policy, unless retention is required by law or you've consented to further retention.
8. Your rights
You may correct or update your personal data by contacting us. You have a right to be forgotten — we will delete personal data you don't want us to have (if you're a data subject of one of our customers acting as data controller, direct your request to them instead). You may also request that we restrict use of your personal data.
We will notify customers of any confirmed data breach; it is the customer's responsibility to notify the relevant supervisory authority and affected data subjects.
9. Mobile apps
This privacy policy applies to our mobile app, Earn as you Grow.
